  • CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE AND CME CREDITS

    ACCREDITATION 
    The 77th Annual Meeting of the CUA is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and is developed and approved by the Canadian Urological Association. This educational activity qualifies for 1 credit per hour of participation, for a maximum of 24 credits. Participants should only claim the credits corresponding to their attendance.

    For Healthcare Professionals the online meeting evaluation form and certificate of attendance will be sent to the email address you provided upon registration.

    LEARNING OBJECTIVES 
    As a result of attending this meeting, participants will be able to:

    • Have an appreciation for equity, diversity and inclusion as it applies to the practice of urology
    • Develop a multidisciplinary approach to the management of patients with urological cancers
    • Practically integrate new endourologic techniques to clinical practice
    • Appreciate the need and opportunities for global and outreach urology
    • Better understand patient frailty as it applies to a urologist's patient cohort
    • Review strategies and practices to increase our quality of care in pediatric urology with a focus on urolithiasis in children

  • CUA 2022 COVID-19 MEASURES: SAFETY & PREVENTION

    Self Screening Prior to Entry
    Meeting Attendees, exhibitors, vendors and speakers will be required to participate in the following self-screening wellness check, daily, before coming onsite: • In the past 24 hours have you experienced Covid-19 symptoms?
    >>If yes, we recommend that you test, and if you test positive, please do not attend the meeting onsite.
    • Have you or people whom you have close contact with, such as someone who lives in your house, a relative, a friend or a co-worker, tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days or had any COVID 19 symptoms in the last 14 days?
    >>If yes, we recommend that you test, and if you test positive, please do not attend the meeting onsite.

    On-Site
    Once on site, attendees agree to regularly and thoroughly wash and/or sanitize their hands throughout the day. If requested by the conference or event venue, attendees agree to observe social distancing guidelines and or properly use facial coverings. To assist attendees in complying with these requests, the following protocols are in place.

    Masking is no longer required indoors, at the conference venue, according to the provincial rules of PEI.
    “People in Prince Edward Island are no longer required to wear masks in indoor public places or in workplaces where distancing cannot be maintained. Masks are still strongly recommended in indoor public places.”
    Disposable masks will be provided and available at the Registration Booth throughout the duration of CUA 2022, should attendees prefer to be masked. Appropriate signage/floor decals will be placed at registration and around the venue to reinforce spatial distancing and other safety reminders when necessary. Hand Sanitizer stations will be positioned throughout the conference venues and meeting spaces for your convenience.

    If you have symptoms of COVID-19:
    • Stay in your Accommodations and do not come to the conference venues. You should remain in your room until COVID test results are reported.
    • If you are sharing your accommodations with others, stay in a separate space or keep a 2-metre distance.
    • If your test comes back positive. Self-isolate right away.
    • Advise the Hotel management and event staff immediately if you believe you have been in contact with others and have tested positive.

    Waiver of responsibility
    CUA 2022 has taken and will continue to take all reasonable precautions to prevent against the presence and spread of the disease but does not guarantee against exposure; and therefore, in choosing to attend the CUA 2022 Annual Meeting in Charlottetown, PEI you acknowledge that you are assuming a risk that you may be exposing yourself to COVID-19 and its potential health risks.
