Stuart Oake completed his urological training at the University of Ottawa in 1993, preceded by one year of General Surgical training at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Dr. Oake is currently Head of the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery at The Ottawa Hospital. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Ottawa. Dr. Oake attained American Board of Urology certification as a Diplomate in 1998. His clinical focus includes uro-oncology and erectile dysfunction, along with the development of minimally invasive urological surgery at the Ottawa Hospital. Dr. Oake served as Program Director for the University of Ottawa Urology Residency Training Program from July 2004 to 2010 and from 2009 to 2017 took on the role of Vice Chair of Education for the Department of Surgery. He is recognized nationally as the past Treasurer of the Canadian Urological Association (CUA), having served in this position from 2006 to 2011 and served as President of the CUA from 2014 to 2015. Dr. Oake successfully completed his Executive MBA from the Telfer School of Business, University of Ottawa in June of 2013. His Master's thesis for his MBA was based on the proposal for a Men's Health Centre at The Ottawa Hospital. This Centre officially opened in December 2021.
